The eminent ceramic Designer William Edwards has created an exclusive Collection of fine bone china to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. William, who is dedicated to the traditional hand decorating techniques that have existed in the English Potteries for generations, has chosen a delicate powder blue colour for this exquisite range of commemorative ware, inspired by the pretty pastel shades worn by Her Majesty the Queen.

The manufacturing process used to decorate each piece in the Collection, emulates the traditional method known in the industry as ‘pouncing’. This creates a stunning stippled effect to the powder blue design which is reminiscent of a craft handed down by generations in the English Potteries.

Each exquisite item in the Collection is skilfully hand-decorated in the William Edwards factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England and embellished with 22 carat gold.

A stunning 22 carat gold silhouette of the Queen is featured on each piece surrounded by a ‘pearl’ inspired garland. Gold crowns and coronets are also present, depicting those worn by the Queen throughout her realm. The Royal Coat of arms is depicted in gold in the Collection and the National Emblems of the United Kingdom; Rose, Thistle, Shamrock and Daffodil sit proudly amidst fine gold feather and fleur de-lys designed scrolling to further enhance the items.

‘To Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1952-2012’

There are seven items in this outstanding commemorative Collection including two Limited Edition pieces. Each item bears the ‘William Edwards’ back stamp together with the inscription shown above and every unique piece is supplied in a blue presentation box. Both Limited Edition items are supplied with certificates of authenticity signed by William Edwards and the Presentation Bowl is individually numbered by hand.

The pieces in this Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Collection will undoubtedly become valuable heirlooms and antiques of the future.
